Avery's 7th Birthday

The kids and I went down for Avery's Birthday party. It was at a jumper place. These were not your average jumpers, they were slides, obstacle courses, etc. The best part... adults could go on them!
We took full advantage of that and had so much fun. Before I knew it all of us were going from place to place going down slides, laughing, and making fools of ourselves. Some of us, Michael and Elena, took things to another level by having a race on the obstacle course. (This could've been disasterous)
We put Lexi down and she was off playing with toys, and somewhat enjoying the slide.

Jeffrey and Auntie Sonia down the slide

We had a great time. We came home tired, but it was so much fun.

The best part was not the cake, nor the slide, but Aunt Sonia coming to the realization that some kid was eating her food!

AV Fair

We made our journey to the annual AV Fair. We went last year, but enjoyed ourselves a lot more this year.
The kids did well. Alexis could not do much, she's still too young, but she'll be good next year. She enjoyed the piggies and cows. Jeffrey was on some sort of kick and had to say hi to each pig and cow.
Jeffrey really enjoyed himself on the rides. I even convinced him to ride the bumper cars, and we had a blast.
We went into the petting zoo, and it was not what we expected, but they had fun. Alexis loved touching the animalsand watching head butting goats. The kids thought it was hilarious!!!
We ended the night with a family ride on the merry-go-round. We did not get a good picture of Lexi, she was holding on for dear life. : )

Morning Walks with Grandpa Ponce

One of the first things my dad asks when I get in the door is, "When are you leaving?"
Not the greeting I hope for, but I've come to accept that is my dad.

The one soft spot he does have is for his grandchildren... and sometimes me. Mornings are usually spent with him bringing my mom and I cookies, and the kids ~ leche.

After our coffee and Playhouse Disney, he takes the kids for a walk. He used to take the dog, but the kids are more willing to go than the dog. (After all, Stitch would miss his soaps.)

This is usually a process... from getting the wagon out, to putting Lexzilla in, convincing Jeffrey Stitchy does not want to go, to my dad getting his phone and coffee.
They finally go on there way

So off they go, not really sure where they go, but Jeffrey always comes back with stories and some sort of gift. It's neat for me to see my dad with my kids, and I hope that my kids will remember these times and cherish them.
